Ziggy has officially joined the Christian world as he was finally baptized last Sunday, May 1. It was definitely a momentous event for the entire family, which explains why it was really so hectic planning it all. The day started with the baptism seminar attended by the parents, Me and Kai, as well as the Principal Sponsors, which were Kai’s brother and sister, Glenn and Cris. Then, we attended the mass followed by the baptismal ceremony.
Here’s a photo of me and Ziggy while waiting for the baptismal ceremony to start. It was a hot summer day and therefore, really hot inside the church. I was concerned Ziggy will be uncomfortable but he slept through the whole thing!
Here are photos from the baptismal rites. I was so pleased and so proud when Ziggy did not cry when water was poured on his head. He was such a trooper!

Below are photos after the ceremony. The first one is a photo with the priest and Ziggy’s godparents, three pairs in all. Aside from Kai’s siblings, we also chose my youngest brother, Leonard, my good friend, Carina and Kai’s friends, Janeil and Trina.

Here’s a combined family photo of Kai’s family and mine. We’re all so proud and happy for Ziggy!

Here’s Ziggy back at home resting in his room while the guests partied in the house. Isn’t his baptismal outfit cute? He’s also wearing his new Funky Feet socks.
Here’s the tarpaulin banner that Daddy Kai designed especially for the occasion.

Don’t you just love Ziggy’s cake? It’s so cute and it even has cupcakes to give away to the guests. It’s so yummy too! The ceramic baby decor on top is now sitting on Ziggy’s shelf in his room.
Here are photos of the food. We ordered Pancit Malabon, Chicken Lollipops and Pichi Pichi from Ambers.

Ziggy’s Grandma Ging also went out of her way to prepare her famous Lasagna as well as Chopsuey, Roasted Pork and Fruit Salad.

Here’s a family photo taken after everybody has eaten and we wanted to show Ziggy around when he finally woke up.
It only took a couple of moments before Ziggy started crying …. to everybody’s delight! Haha!
Here’s Ziggy and I after all the guests have gone and we were about to open his gifts. Here are some of them. There were a few others who gave their gifts a couple of days before the event. We’re so happy he got both clothes and toys!

Here’s a shout out to all the guests who arrived and took part in this occasion. There are a ton of photos but I can’t upload them all here. Aside from our family, thank you to the following too for coming: Clairol, Alex and Sharry, Rod and Darla, Carina and Lui, Trina, Corrine and  Patrice. To those who wanted to but couldn’t come, thanks too for your well wishes for Ziggy.

Welcome to the Christian World baby Ziggy!
