Oh I had such a great time last night! My high school friend, Monalee, came home for a visit. She has been living in Australia for the past three years and this is her first visit back home since she left. Her visit now is actually unplanned. Unfortunately, she came home because her mom just passed away last week. But although the reason for her visit is really, really sad, we are all very happy to have had the chance to spend time with her last night.
Kai, baby Ziggy and I went to meet with my high school friends at the Greenbelt Mall. Zoe and Ziya couldn’t come because they are at a beach trip with their dad this weekend. Anyway, present last night were my friends, Darla and Rod, Rachel, Francis, Jem and son JT plus Monalee, of course. Our dinner at CPK was filled with story after story as we all tried our best to catch up with each other’s lives. You see, with our hectic schedules, we don’t get to do this very often. Normally, we get to catch up during our Christmas reunions only if there are no family events that we all attend together. But we haven’t had a catch up session with Monalee for a very long time and so this was a real treat!
It was also the first time that Monalee, Rachel and Francis got to see baby Ziggy, and so even if we met up kinda late already (and went home even later at 1am), Kai and I took Ziggy with us. Here’s Ziggy’s photos with my friends.

Gosh, I really treasure these moments. I miss my friends a lot. Good thing we’re meeting up again next week for JT’s birthday party!

  1. We recently traveled to visit one of my high school friends on Spring Break with her family. It was the first time I had seen her in almost five years, and she had never met my daughter. It was AWESOME! I’m glad you got to have such a great visit with your friend(s), even if it was for a sad reason.

Stopping by from TMP blog hop! 🙂
