Just like last week’s Project Yearbook, this post is also several days late once again. Everything is just so hectic lately and so I had to keep pushing back posting this entry.
Anyway, Ziggy’s week 22 was when Ziggy celebrated his 5th month birthday. I still can’t believe that my baby is now 5 months old. He’s growing up too fast. I keep telling him to slow down because once he grows up I’ll no longer have a baby. Oh…… Actually, during this week we also took Ziggy to the pediatrician and found out that he now weighs 9.1 kilos or a whopping 20 lbs! He is a big baby. I’m still not worried about it though because Ziya was almost this big when she was this age and she lost the weight when she started walking. Ziggy’s pediatrician is still not worried too. However, there’s some people (some I don’t even know) who keep commenting on Ziggy’s weight and keep giving me unsolicited advice about childhood obesity. I mean, hello! I’m a mom of three. My eldest is already almost 10 years old. I think I already know a lot about raising children. I don’t claim to know everything but I do know that it’s not yet time to worry about Ziggy’s weight so  I hope people will just leave him alone.
Ziggy’s doing so well actually. He started eating solid foods already. On week 22, we started giving him mashed potatoes, which he didn’t like at first. However, he started eating more of it when I added a spoonful of his milk to it. It was so amazing watching him eat solid food for the first time. See the photo later below! Anyway, we were half expecting that his milk intake will lessen now that he’s eating food but he still consumes as much milk. A can only lasts about 6 days. During this week, he was still getting used to his new milk and he became really constipated. The medicine we gave him worked a bit but we discovered that papaya is more effective. Oh, he loves papaya! When Ziggy eats papaya he can hardly wait for the next spoonful to be given to me. It’s so funny and so adorable!
Ziggy’s outgrowing a lot of his clothes now and so I already took the small ones away and put them in storage. I guess, it’s time to shop for more clothes! Yikes! He has also outgrown a pair of shoes that my friend gave him. He only used it three times so I’m glad we didn’t spend money on his shoes. We still use socks on him when we go out. I figured its useless to put on shoes on a baby who can’t walk yet.
Below are Ziggy’s Week 22 photos:
Day 148 was when Ziggy first had solid food! Yup, he hated the mashed potatoes the first time he had them. Isn’t it obvious in this photo?
Lately, I’ve been obsessed with Ziggy’s feet. Here’s another photo of them taken on Day 149.

On Day 150, Daddy Kai, Ziggy and I went to the nearest mall for some errands. Here’s a photo I took of the two men in my life during lunch at Yummy Roast.

This day 151 photo was taken at Zoe and Ziya’s school when we watched them during their Book Month Culminating Activity. This day also happened to be Ziggy’s 5th month birthday. Daddy Kai took us out to dinner at Stackers Burger Cafe to celebrate.

This Day 152 photo was taken while Ziggy was just chillin’ at home.

For Day 153, we bought Ziggy a cake for his 5th month birthday. We normally buy him one on the actual day of his birthday but we were unable to because we were all so tired already after the dinner Kai took us to. So, this was an extension of Ziggy’s birthday celebration.

Lastly, on Day 154, I took this photo when Ziggy was sleeping while being carried by his dad. So cute!

Stay tuned weekly for more of Project Yearbook!
