Ever since I first heard of the Disney Live show, I vowed I’d let my kids watch it. Our entire family, from the hubby down to baby Ziggy, are all Disney fanatics. It has been years since Zoe and Ziya watched a Disney on Ice show and they have never watched a Disney show that is not “on ice”. So, I’m really so thankful that Zoe, Ziya and I were able to watch Disney Live last October 6 at the Araneta Coliseum. Since Ziggy is still too young to appreciate the show, he and Kai just waited for us at a nearby coffee shop. While I had bonding time with the girls, Kai and Ziggy had their own alone time too.

What made this occasion even more special is the fact that we got to watch the show with some of my friends and their families.

The girls loved seeing all the Disney characters in the show and singing along to the music. Of course, the first to come out were Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy!

Then out came Aladdin and the Genie.

And of course, if Aladdin is present then Jasmine won’t be far behind.

Sebastian and the mermaids also danced under the sea! The mermaids’ outfits were really nice and colorful. They danced really well too.

What’s cool about the under the sea performance was the light show. I just loved the colors! It’s just too bad that the light show lasted only for a short while.

Here’s Ariel and Ursula.

The audience went wild when these toy soldiers and Bull’s Eye came out coz that only meant one thing – TOY STORY!

Jessie and Woody came out to play too!

Of course, the Toy Story crew won’t be complete without Buzz Lightyear!

The show lasted for an hour and half. It was much too short if you ask me. We can watch Disney all day if we could! We truly enjoyed watching the show and singing along with the songs. It was also really nice watching the expressions on the faces of the kids there. Disney truly knows how to make kids and adults alike very happy!

The show may have ended already but there’s going to be a Disney on Ice show coming in December. We absolutely want to watch that too!

  3. thanks for sharing, ms. janice. what a great experience for the kids indeed! one and a half hours is really too short!

  4. I haven’t seen a Disney show like this in years. I remember, when I was little, always hating the 2nd act because that’s when the pyrotechnics would come out. Do they still do that? It always scared me.
