School ended for Zoe and Ziya this year last Wednesday but it wasn’t until today that the Recognition Day was held. We have been anticipating this day because we knew that Zoe once again qualified for honors. We just didn’t know which place she got. Well, now we know!
Here’s me and Zoe. See how many ribbons and medals she got! I am so proud of my mini-Me. Every year she never fails to deliver this many awards. It really makes my heart swell.
Curious about what the awards are for? Well, here’s the list.
1st Honors
1st Place Star Kid of the Year
Best in Journal Writing
Best Monitor
Most Prompt
Best in Computer
Poster Making Winner
Most Diligent
Best Elocutionist
Consistent Principal’s List Title Holder
Golden Ring Awards:

* can simplify order of operations
* can combine the sentences using conjunctions
* can identify complete subject and complete predicate
* can identify senses in senses in sentences
I know, that’s a lot, right???? Congratulations Zoe!!!!!!
But of course, my Ziya also got her share of awards. She’s a bit disappointed though that she didn’t get as many as her big sister. However, we made it a point to remind her how far she’s gone in terms of her grades. They’ve been getting better and better considering she was homeschooled for half of the school year. She was actually in the Achiever’s List twice this year and the Principal’s List (honors) during one quarter of the school year.
Here are the awards Ziya received.
Most Persevering
Best in Conduct
Golden Ring Awards:
* can name place values up to trillions
* can round off numbers up to millions
* can add mentally
Regardless of the number of awards, the most important things are the lessons they’ve learned this year. Our girls are certainly growing up. We are definitely the proudest parents.
Congratulations Zoe and Ziya!!!!!!!!
