If you’ve been reading this blog for a while now, you’d know I’m a big advocate of attachment parenting. My hubby and I are into babywearing and co-sleeping because we believe that these will help forge a deeper bond between ourselves and baby Ziggy. We’ve been babywearing since Ziggy was one month old and have been co-sleeping with him since he was born. We love doing these things but there are times when it can become quite inconvenient.
You see, my hubby is big guy. Browse some of my older posts and you will see how big he is. Ziggy takes after him. At age one, he’s already wearing clothes big enough for two-year olds. Having said that, it has become quite of a challenge fitting the three of us on our bed. My hubby and I actually take turns sleeping on the couch next to our bed. I guess, it’s a good thing he works nights five days a week and so Ziggy and I have the bed to ourselves. However, I have to admit that this arrangement is not exactly the safest way to co-sleep. Ziggy has been rolling around in bed and he actually fell from the bed at one point, late at night while I was fast asleep. I know, bad mommy!!! I felt so bad afterwards. When he fell, he cried a little but stopped soon after I picked him up. We’re just lucky that there were no serious injuries. I would never forgive myself if something worse happened to him.
Having said that I always wished there was something we can do to make co-sleeping easier and safer for us and more importantly, for Ziggy. Recently, it has come to my attention that there’s such a thing as the Arm’s Reach Co-Sleeper Bedside Bassinet. Apparently, you can just attach it on the side of your bed and it makes it easier for the parent just to reach out and check on the baby, and even breastfeed or bottlefeed too. How convenient is that? I wish I heard about this a long time ago.
Have you heard about the Arm’s Reach Co-Sleeper Bedside Bassinet before? Have you used one? What do you think about this product? Let me know. 5. i guess i have heard about this bedside bassinet at one point, i think it will be very convenient if you will get one, plus it will also lessen those falling-off-the-bed episodes…i had one too many of those + it actually breaks my heart each time my little man fall out of bed, that is why we decided to forego of the bed altogether + placed our mattress on the floor!
