Spread the love

Drama. Drama. Drama. I once felt that it’s the story of my life. I’ll spare you the details but let me just say that my life has been complicated since the day I was born, I’m not kidding. I always felt that my friends’ lives were better because they didn’t have the same challenges that I had growing up. Those challenges affected me so much that for so long I thought that I would be doomed for the rest of my life. Thankfully, I finally realized that I have the power to change my life. To make a long story short, I made some necessary, hard changes. No regrets. I have made a commitment to let go of the drama and so I’m now in a better place.
I’m not blogging about this now just so I can reminisce about the past. This is actually for a friend of mine who has been experiencing difficulties in life. I worry because I feel that she’s falling into the same patterns that have hurt her before. It seems as if the same drama keeps happening to her. I just want to remind her that she has a choice to make, and she has to make that choice no matter how difficult it may be. She has to make changes in her life, no matter how scary that may be for her. She has to make a choice to be happy. You cannot rely on somebody else or anything else to make you happy. Like I always say, life is too short to dwell on drama.
The inspirational quote below sums it all up and I want to share this with my friend and to all of you reading this. Choose to be happy!

  2. I totally agree. When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter I sat down, made a list of all my friends and acquaintances and decided there and then who was worth keeping in my life and who caused too much drama. Because there was plenty of drama back then. From that day I have never spoken to half of those people and my quality of life (and consequently my own happiness) has improved dramatically. I hope your friend is ok 🙂
