Yesterday, we were at the Alabang Town Center initially to just have lunch with my in-laws. It was my brother-in-law’s birthday celebration and he chose to treat us for lunch at Abe’s. Afterwards we all went our separate ways. Hubby, the kids and I had a fun time just going around the mall and playing at the play area. Here’s a cute photo of the kids under the playground set….
…. and here’s a photo of when I joined them.
Thankfully, we stayed at the mall long enough that we chanced upon the 3pm showing of Plants vs. Zombies Live! Oooh, my girls were so happy.
I’m not really that into games. I’m usually happy already playing those games I find on Facebook whenever I find myself with nothing to do (which is rare!). When my hubby asked me last year to download Plants vs Zombies into our PC, I wasn’t really that enthusiastic about it but I conceded. That’s about the only game I have ever paid for and downloaded in my entire life. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it but oh my, did I get addicted. So, you can just imagine how thrilled I was to be able to catch the show with my kids.
In order to get tickets, though, you have to purchase at least Php500 worth of goods from the mall (and that’s per person). But since the show was already about to start when we found out about it, we couldn’t go shopping anymore (aside from the fact that we didn’t really need to shop for anything). So, being resourceful, we trooped to the 3rd floor and planted ourselves beside the elevators, which gave us a nice view of the stage. That’s an impromptu upper box seating, ha!

The show opened with the male host and these two adorable sunflowers. Oh, how the kids in the audience loved them. They were literally screaming in delight.

Not to be outdone, though, the zombies did a pretty good job entertaining the audience too.

The host encouraged the audience to start yelling “It’s time to plant!” when they see zombies on stage….and yell they did!

But of course, the sunflowers weren’t enough to beat the zombies and so out came the super adorable peashooters!

The host even gave “peas” to the audience so that they can also help kill the zombies. Oh what fun!

We ended up having a really nice time, and a really nice (and FREE) view from the top (haha!).

It was truly a great show and all the characters were very adorable. There was even a photo session with them after the show but only for those who got special stubs (boo!). Even without the photo session and although the show only lasted for 30 minutes, it was totally worth watching.
