Our family loves attending events organized by Sky Cable. Last July 25, we were fortunate to have been invited to attend one again by my friend, Chrissy. This time it was for Sky Playback Rewind held at the Rockwell Tent.

Hubby and I went to the event with Ziggy, who was as usual very excited knowing that he’ll get a chance to play there. We were able to attend the event from start to finish.

As usual, there were several food booths that served a variety of food and drinks to the attendees. Party Time served pasta and fish fingers.

Waffle Time had an assortment of waffles. Figaro served mini Figaro Frosts while New Zealand Natural served the most delicious ice creams. The strawberry variant was our favorite! 🙂

Fun Ranch was also there to serve popcorn and drinks.

Aside from partaking in the food, there were awesome performances and games on stage that the kids and parents enjoyed. The overall concept of the event was to reintroduce traditional Filipino games to kids and I think they did a fantastic job of it.

We really liked this mime act.

There was also this guy who did a yoyo exhibit, which I think is really cool. It reminds me of my younger days when my siblings, playmates and I would spend hours just playing with our yoyos.

Here are the kids having fun on stage. Each of the event sponsors or exhibitors took their turn to stage Filipino-inspired games.

There were also a lot of booths where parents could explore products and services, such as National Book Store, Bambike, JoomaJam, The Learning Library, MusikGarten Manila, Beauty and Butter and of course, Sky Cable.

There were several booths as well where kids could learn traditional Filipino games, such as Dama, Piko, Pick-Up Sticks (how do you call that in Tagalog again? hehehe!), and Tumbang Preso.

Ziggy didn’t get to try all of them because his focus main focus was more into playing with Chrissy’s son, Lyndel. Hahaha! But he also spent an enormous amount of time in one booth, Tinker Tots, wherein he got to play with sand/clay.

From the same booth, he also learned how to make a kite.

We really had a lot of fun the whole afternoon. I think it was a great way to introduce Ziggy to traditional Filipino games. He might not have tried them all but I’m sure he’ll get to do them soon enough.

  1. Sigh, I really wish that I can already bring Judah to these types of events. I really have to be choosy on which kiddie event to bring him to as he’s not as easy to manage as Ziggy.

    1. Well, we really have to be choosy in choosing any type of event naman. 🙂 I’m sure you’ll eventually find some that will be a great match for Judah. 🙂
