This September I’ll be celebrating my third year as a work-at-home mom. While I feel that I still have a lot to accomplish to become more successful, I know that I’ve also achieved so much in the past three years.
The truth is though, I wouldn’t have achieved this much if not for the help of my family. One person specifically has been there from the beginning to give his unconditional love and support with Husay at Malasakit for everything that I did.
He has been there to pitch in with his share of the chores so that I can work. He drives for me and accompanies me to the blogger events I want to attend. He takes care of the kids when I have to go out. He’s my sounding bored when I complain that I’m so tired and frustrated with what I’m doing already. Hahaha!
That person is no less than my hubby, Kai. I am so blessed to have him in my life. I honestly will not survive without him and I’m not sure if many know this about him. He is indeed my unsung hero.
That is why, in my own little ways, I try my best to show him how much I appreciate everything that he does. Luckily, I learned of another way of showing him my appreciation – through the help of Unilab and their Husay and Malasakit Campaign.
Behind every Filipino is a loved one who has given them unconditional support with Husay at Malasakit through the years without asking for recognition. Unilab celebrates the Filipinos who make society a better place through the positive ways they impact the lives of those around them by giving their loved ones a unique chance to show their gratitude.
On their 70th anniversary, Unilab is giving Filipinos a unique way to show their gratitude through an online app that lets you send a free customized dedication cake to someone they want to thank for their love and support. On the app, users can input their name and the name of their loved one. These will go on the custom dedication cake, which will be sent to the recipient for free.
I am so excited to surprise my hubby with a customized dedication cake, made especially for him! You can do the same too for your own unsung hero and for FREE too! Here’s how.
- Visit www.husayatmalasakit.com and click Nominate.
- Fill out the form. Submit a photo of your unsung hero and briefly write about why you want to thank your unsung hero.
- Wait for the confirmation e-mail from Unilab regarding the approval of your
submission.
It’s so simple, right? Go ahead and use the app to show your personal hero how much they matter to you!
And, while you’re at it, grab this chance to WIN one (1) Unilab Health Kit too by joining the giveaway below! If you follow me on IG, you would have seen me post the prize already. Here it is!

My unsung heroes are my parents! They are the kindest people I know, not only to me but to other people as well. I sometimes tell them they’re too good and remind them to save for themselves too.
They always extend their help to those in need. I think I’m into social work because I was raised by my loving and god-fearing parents. 🙂 Husay at malasakit – they have both! Everyone should have these. Maybe we can change the world. 🙂

More often than not, we neglect to thank and appreciate the people who have helped us along the way. So kudos to Unilab for spearheading this amazing initiative! 🙂

My unsung hero is my dear hubby Ruben, of course. He’d always been away from us for such a long time because he works overseas. He is one of those who sacrifices to earn a living abroad because of slim chances of job opportunities locally. He never did was able to see our son grew up, his first smile, his first walk, his first word. But nevertheless he is always there for us, supporting us emotionally and financially minus the physical presence. But thanks to modern technology, its diminished. So for hubby’s “Husay at Malasakit” cheers to you.

My Unsung Hero is ny MOTHER. Why? I love you mama!

Of course, my hero is my mother. She has been really working hard to provide for not only us, her immediate family, but for our other relatives who need help. She does so much for other people and ask nothing in return. 🙂

My unsung hero is my dad. He never failed to make sure that life was comfortable for us growing up, and even now, after we’ve moved out, he still checks up on me and helps out whenever he can. He continues to work so hard for our family, even though we’re all big already!

My unsung hero is my mother. She is the mom who stood beside me even if I am the most stubborn girl alive. She is there always to guide and help me with my new life as a mom. I love her and terribly miss her.

I love these kits from Unilab. Well, actually what we have is the smaller travel kit and it’s super useful so I’m thinking this will be also. 🙂
My unsung hero would be my folks, the grandparents of my kids. Even with their busy schedule, they still find time to dote on their daughter and her family. Apart from that of course is all the hard work they’ve poured into moulding me into who I am today. 🙂

My unsung hero is my husband. I feel very grateful that he supported my decision to quit my full-time job in order to stay at home to take care of our growing son and establish a career from home. It was a very tough decision for both of us and the months that followed were actually difficult. But, with God’s grace and my husband’s love and support, I am able to spend more time with our son and work from home at the same time. He would help me out in whatever way he can and for that, I will be forever thankful. That’s how much my husband’s husay at malasakit meant to me.

My unsung hero is my mother, Erlinda Betorin. She has always been there for me but I seldom acknowledge all the little things that she do me. Despite being a grown-up, she always worry about if we ate properly, if we are feeling okay and would always remind me to bring my umbrella before I leave the house, she would call me everyday in the office just to ask me if I need something or if there is a special food that I would like to eat and she would gladly prepare it for me.

I have realized since I became a parent myself that my Mom is the unsung hero of my life. I now appreciate her more because I never knew the hardships, sarifices, and hardwork she put into just to give our family a comfortable life. Now, even though I am already an adult with my own work and family, she never stops giving me and my family husay and malasit. All I am as a person, a wife, and a mother is all because of her.

My unsung Heroes are my Parents. Mom and Dad who provided our family with all the love and support without asking anything in return. They worked hard to make everyone feel everything we need is given to us. They always makes us feel special. We are all grown up’s now but they still worry about us, just like when we are still kids. A simple headache mom is already there with some medicines that I could take and I love her more for that. A Thank you is not enough to show how grateful we are to our parents, they are truly our hero in our family.

My unsung hero is my 2 year old son – ChoiChoi. I know it’s not conventional since he is still a young boy. But this little boy, with his angelic face and sweetness changed my life in so many ways. He made me realize that being a Mother is the best choice that I have ever made in my life. He lifts me up when I’m down with his innocent chatters and laughter. This boy saved me and for that I will always be thankful to God.
My unsung hero is my family. They were the one who stick with me through my ups and downs. Everyone was supported of me even though I have disappointed each one of them at some point in my life. I thank them for their unconditional love and unwavering support to me and my kids.
