I can absolutely not live without lotion. Okay, maybe I can but I don’t want to. Haha! Fact is, I have dry skin. It’s not the cracking or peeling kind, fortunately. However, it can become a bit itchy and uncomfortable whenever I don’t put lotion on. It doesn’t help that I’m usually at home in an air conditioned room (which causes dryness!). The summer heat and my pregnancy combined also contributes to the dryness of my skin.
To check what condition my skin really is in though, I took this Dry Skin Test by Vaseline and this is the result I got.
To take the test yourself, go to this link: http://www.vaseline.ph/skin-index-test. As you can see, my skin apparently suffers from mild dryness, which means I definitely need to regularly apply lotion before it gets worse. Vaseline even recommended some of their lotions that I can use and I was happy to see that the lotion I’ve been regularly using, the Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe Lotion, is on the list. I love it because it really works!
So imagine my delight when I received this Vaseline kit in the mail!
Through this kit, I finally discovered why Vaseline body lotions are so effective to combat dryness. It’s this wonder jelly that can heal burns, rashes, chapped skin, cuts, bruises and more. This wonder jelly is what we all know as Petroleum Jelly, something that has been a staple in most households, like ours, because of its healing properties and outstanding skin benefits. It’s my favorite thing to put on my lips when they get super dry and chapped. I swear no lip balm has ever healed my lips the way Petroleum Jelly has.
So, I was surprised to realize that this very ingredient is now present in the New Vaseline body lotions. The new Vaseline Lotions now have micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly that works deep from within the epidermis to bring back lost moisture and heal dry skin, combating the effects of exposure to damaging environmental factors like extreme temperatures, low humidity, harsh cleansers, and hot water.
I tried the Vaseline Intensive Care Deep Restore body lotion and was really happy with the way it moisturized my skin. It’s white, very light and is absorbed easily by the skin. Best of all, it’s not at all greasy! It’s super perfect for the hot summer season. And for pregnant moms like me, it’s also great for moisturizing preggy bellies that are continuously growing and stretching, making the skin all over itchy.
But don’t just take my word for it. Check out what happened to these leaves. The ones on the left, which doesn’t have any Vaseline jelly on it, are so dry and wrinkled. The leaves on the right, on the other hand, are the exact opposite. Because they were covered with Vaseline jelly, the leaves remained vibrant and moisturized.
Check out the results of the ultimate test that Vaseline took to showcase and prove the healing power of its new body lotions. Vaseline took the ultimate test when it mounted a live billboard along C5 last April 8-10. See the live billboard from this link bit.ly/vaselineleafbillboard or watch below.
Real leaves were used, and half of them were covered with Vaseline jelly, while the other half had none. After three days, the difference was visible. The side that was coated with Vaseline jelly remained vibrant and moisturized, while the other half dried completely. If Vaseline can keep a leaf vibrant and moisturized, imagine what it could do to dry skin.
The new Vaseline lotions are available in leading department stores and drug stores with the following SRPs:
100ml – Php 69.30
200ml – Php 126.00
400ml – Php 225.00
So, if you’re plagued with dry skin, worry no more! #HEALWithVaseline!
just opened mine today, excited to test it too 🙂

I usually used petroleum jelly when my skin is being irritated from fancy jewelries. If it has wonder jelly, it will be very helpful to the skin.
I always use petroleum jelly on my lips before I go to bed or before I put on lipstick. It really moisturizes my lips! I don’t think I have dry skin but I use lotion everyday, nakasanayan na siguro hehe! I loved Vaseline’s Aloe Lotion, but now that I put on lotion to my little one din, I just use whatever lotion my little one is using! Hehehe! Para tipid 😉 I would like to try this though! Thanks for sharing 🙂
PS
Sayang naman yung mga dahon dun sa billboard hehehe wala lang! 😉

I usually use petroleum jelly on my heels. I have a natural dry skin, sad to say. I try not to use the jelly on most part of my body since it feels hot on my skin. I’m glad to know that Vaseline has infused their jelly mixture into their lotion. I’m excited to try them out. Thanks for sharing!
There are many good uses of petroleum jelly. I have tried many products from Vaseline and so far, they are good.

Been using petroleum jelly on my ankle for years and im pretty impressed with the results. Vaseline pertroleum jelly keeps my skin moisturized and soft. Its kinda matrabaho lang but its worth it. Before sleeping, i apply petroleum jelly on my feet and cover them with sleeping socks after.
Vaseline does have impressive moisturizing powers, I should get a tub for myself. I sure could use it for my skin which tends to get dry on certain parts!
I am also a Vaseline user. There’s no other lotion that can keep my skin moisturized. Lately, my lips are drying, I also used Vaseline Petroleum Jelly since this I am really used into this.

We use Vaseline petroleum jelly at home also- for feet and elbows. I just sometimes find it hard to wash off the stickiness but it works wonders.

I haven’t had the chance to sit down and try the skin dryness test yet. I’d have to put in my son’s case however as I’m curious about his skin problem. I love the lotion, super light and smells so good!

I often use petroleum jelly before in almost any type of cracks on skin. 🙂 .Thanks for sharing, Mommy.:)
My SIL swears by Vaseline. I’ve known this brand for so long, but my memory of it as a child was that it was greasy. Iba na sila ngayon! And they have different variations nga. I tried the green one before.
I agree on Petroleum Jelly and chapped lips! Ako rin, I use Petroleum Jelly talaga because lip balms don’t work on me.

For years, I’ve been struggling to find ways to keep my skin clear and properly hydrated, but grease free. I used to always end up either moisturizing too much or too little that my skin feels tight and looks rather flaky and dull all day, it’s uncomfortable. This is actually one brand that keeps everything on the skin balanced. Thanks for sharing!
