Remember back in the day when squeaky clean skin meant healthy skin? Well, if that’s what you believe then you’re being misled. Apparently, most moms are being misled to believing their babies’ skin is healthy. In a study conducted by J&J among moms, 10% believed their baby had dry skin, yet after diagnosis, they found out that 60% of their babies actually have clinically-visible dry skin. The truth is, the resulting after-bath squeaky feeling from using bar soap is already a clear indication of dry skin, even with visible flaking or roughness.

So what are we to do if our family has soap-damaged skin? Well, Johnson’s thought that they can help transform moms into Supermoms, ones who can make sure their family gets the best care possible. They did it through the Johnson’s Supermoms’ Transformation event held last July 5, 2016 at Market, Market where the new JOHNSON’S® Milk+Oats™ Baby Bath and Lotion were officially launched.

The event had moms, including myself, participate in games in a Z-shaped activity area designed to help them go from being a regular mom to being a Supermom! The first phase of the Supermoms’ Transformation informed them of the hazards posed by squeaky-dry skin caused by using family bar soap, visualized by the rapid drop of moisture through the “healthy skin meter”, with the soap being cast aside afterwards.

Next they were introduced to the super powers of milk and oats – two potent ingredients specifically formulated to restore soap-damaged skin to its healthy, moisturized state. Demonstrated through a fun, ingredient-catching game, the healthy skin meter was immediately filled up by the power of Milk + Oats.

Dr. Ma. Victoria Dizon also informed the guests of the gentle, skin-friendly moisturizing properties of Milk + Oats ideal for baby and mommy use. For a first-hand experience of the power of the new JOHNSON’S® Milk+Oats™ baby bath and lotion, guests applied the products on their skin, with the healthy skin meter instantaneously detecting the increase in moisture. I can attest to the fact that my skin really did register a higher moisture content after using both the JOHNSON’S® Milk+Oats™ baby bath and lotion.

Finally, bedecked with several “super items” (armband, gloves and cape) collected from the previous areas, the last phase of the Supermoms’ Transformation sees guests become Super Moms: transformed by the knowledge of harmful soap experience and the restorative power of Milk + Oats!

The event was also the official launch of the new ambassadors, supermom Marian Rivera-Dantes and Baby Zia.

Marian excitedly shared her adventures as a new mom and gave tips on what she does to help protect Baby Zia’s skin. She even gamely completed her own transition into being a Super Mom by trying all the games in the activity area.

This was apparently Baby Zia’s first public appearance together with her mom. I was half expecting her to cry when there was suddenly a big burst of confetti thrown on the stage when she was introduced and people cheered. But Baby Zia actually kept her composure! That little girl is seriously so cute!

You can let your own super skin transformation begin too. #IbalikAngFeeling with JOHNSON’S® Milk+Oats™ Baby Bath and Lotion. JOHNSON’S® Milk+Oats™ baby bath and baby lotion are now available in leading supermarkets, drug stores, and department stores nationwide for Php100.75 and Php168.25, for 200ml, respectively.
