The Learning Library Summer Programs 2017

It’s getting hotter by the day and we all know what that means – summer is near! And for us moms, that also means it’s time to look for summer activities for our kids to keep them happy and productive. For the past two summers now, my three oldest kids have joined The Learning Library’s summer programs and at least one of them will join again this year.

THE LEARNING LIBRARY offers English and Filipino programs that help improve comprehension and make learning enjoyable for your kids. By developing fundamental skills through enjoyable and accessible literature, they help advance independent learning critical to long-term academic success.

Their year long programs include The Reading Advantage, Wika’y Galing and Test and Homework Help. Because these are available year round, students can start anytime for any of these regular programs at any of their 8 branches in Quezon City, Makati, San Juan and Alabang.

Our Ziggy actually enrolled in their Wika’y Galing program several months ago because we wanted to help him learn Filipino. His first language is English and knew very little Filipino prior to enrolling in The Learning Library. The program took several weeks and I can honestly say his Filipino has already improved although I believe it will take more lessons to help him become fluent in the language.

Here is Ziggy featured in one of The Learning Library ads posted on their social media channels last year.

Anyway, I’m pleased to share with you the programs they will have for this upcoming summer season. Compared to the year-round programs which are usually administered individually, the summer classes are held by group, which is exactly what we want for Ziggy (who is homeschooled) this summer to give him a chance to interact with other kids in his age group.

The Learning Library will be offering Reading, Comprehension, Writing, Public Speaking, and Filipino for children ages 3 to 16.

Their summer workshops (Reading Safari, Beginning Filipino, and Speak Up, Write Now) are offered at Php 5,000 per run, while their year-round programs, Wika’y Galing and The Reading Advantage, have a fee of Php 2,500 per month. Fees are inclusive of assessment, materials, and book- borrowing privileges. Sibling discounts are available.

Students will be registered on a first-come first-served basis. So, inquire and enroll already as early as you can. The Learning Library provides free assessment so that the most appropriate program can be given to your child.

For inquiries and reservations, you may call The Learning Library at # 294-8081 and 0917-8282669 or through email: [email protected] You can also visit their website at www.learninglibraries.com.

Yes, summer is near, final exam na next week so finally no more homework, quizzes and exam. Last year, my son was not interested in joining any summer activities. I’m not sure kung mag-enroll siya this year, gusto lang yata sa bahay. 🙂

My children also look forward sa summer workshops pero they are interested into music. Ang ganda nitong workshop nito for kids who would start schooling. Surely, they will learn a lot from it.

Oh, that is such a great program. I love it. The Filipino especially because even I am having a hard time with it. Haha I’d love my kids to experience this. 🙂

I think I read your post about this a few months ago. Programs like these are helpful to kids who need to catch up on reading. I wish there are programs like these for the poor children also who can’t afford to pay.

It’s summer once again and the boys would surely want to do something aside from playing and helping with the household chores. I will surely check this out and ask the boys as well if this is something that would interest them.
