It’s Ziggy’s Week 19 and I’m so happy because this week was when Ziggy had another milestone. He’s finally eating! His pediatrician has given the go ahead to give him baby food. However, we have to give him just one type of food every week so as to look out for allergies. So, yesterday, for his very first baby food, we gave him Cerelac, specifically the brown rice and milk flavor. Seeing him eat food for the first time was just amazing, especially seeing his reaction after the first taste. Oh, the look of wonder on his face was just priceless! Obviously, he’s not used to chewing yet and so he can only eat a little but I’m pretty sure that by the end of this month he’ll be eating lots already.
Anyway, as I’ve been saying in previous posts, Ziggy has been quite cranky during the day like his tummy aches all the time. I expressed my concern to his doctor and she said to let him take Zantac for 4 consecutive days and see if there’s an improvement. If not, we have to have his stool tested. Daddy Kai is fearful that Ziggy might take after him and also be acidic. We really hope not. We hope that he’s just gassy and that it will go away soon. Today is his second day taking the Zantac and he’s been less cranky than usual. Let’s see what happens after two more days.
Here are Ziggy’s Week 19 photos:
On Day 127, we went to Ziggy’s pediatrician. There were so many patients who came before us so there was a long wait. Ziggy took a nap. This photo was taken just when he woke up.
I took a photo of him sleeping on Day 128.

Day 129 is a photo with big sister, Ziya. She’s just constantly begging me to let her “carry” him although he’s too heavy for her.

Day 130 is a photo of Ziggy thumbsucking. Oh, how I want to stop him from doing this but it calms him down. If it will prevent him from screaming then I’ll just go ahead and suck on his thumb (or most of the time, all of his fingers all at the same time!).

Day 131 is a photo of Ziggy sitting on his own. He can only sit on his own when his arms are propped up in front of him and he can’t do it for very long. But it’s adorable when he does so we let him practice all the time especially since he gets tired lying down a lot.

On Day 132 I took a photo of Ziggy with his new plush toy, Po of Kung Fu Panda. It’s a prize I won from a mommy blogger, who rewarded me for being her 100th follower. So cute!

Day 133 is the milestone day! Ziggy finally started eating. As you can see below, it was a little messy. I’m pretty sure it will be messier as he grows up but I for now, I really don’t care. He’s adorable!

Come visit us again next week for Ziggy’s Week 20!
