Our whole family (yup, even mommy and daddy) just loves Disney. In fact, we watch Playhouse Disney all the time. However, today, July 11, Playhouse Disney will become Disney Junior as the company works towards providing more responsible, age-appropriate TV experience for kids. Oh, we have been waiting for this for over a month now!
Disney Junior will still be featuring it’s signature shows such as Handy Manny, Special Agent Oso, Little Einsteins, Chuggington, Timmy Time, Imagination Movers, Jungle Junction and of course Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as well as some beloved Disney characters like Cars and the Disney Princesses. What we’re also looking forward to is the new show called Jake and The Neverland Pirates, which features not only Captain Hook and Smee, but more importantly a group of kid pirates looking for treasure headed by Jake. It is the first original show by Disney after the switch to Disney Junior. We can’t wait to see it!
What’s even more exciting is that Disney will be holding a contest for viewers all throughout the day as they launch Disney Junior. They will be giving out 100 Mickey Mouse plush toys, or better yet, a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland for you and your family! All you have to do is to watch Disney Junior from 1pm to 8pm today and look for the gold coins that will appear at different times throughout the day. Then just name the face on the coin and log on to www.DisneyJunior-Asia.com and submit your answer. Easy right? There will be 7 gold coins in all and so the more you enter, the more chances of winning. The only downside to this (for us at least) is that only those with preschoolers (ages 2 to 7 years old) can join. Sucks for us! But for those of you who can join, good luck!
Disney Junior is truly where the magic begins!
