Spread the love

Ever since Ziggy was born I’ve been continuously weighing the pros and cons of working from home versus having a career outside the home. I was really hoping that by now a lot of work-at-home opportunities would have come my way, allowing me to stay home. Unfortunately, that’s not the case and I am now left with the option of finding a new job.
I wasn’t jobless for the whole 13 months since Ziggy was born. I had a two-month stint in a company starting last December. It didn’t work out though, for reasons too complicated and personal to state here. Nevertheless, I like to think that it was a blessing in disguise because it wasn’t a job that I love and it didn’t even pay as much as I used to earn. Fine, the company (let’s call it Company A) presented a lot of prospects for growth and development but somehow they weren’t enough to really excite me.
Now, I am free to choose a new job. Actually, I just went in for an interview and an exam in this company (Company B) that I’m dying to work for. I already applied there last November and passed both the initial panel interview and exam. However, when it was time for me to get an interview with the Big Boss, I decided to withdraw my application in favor of accepting that other job offer from Company A. Big mistake, I guess but I believe there’s a reason for everything. Maybe it just wasn’t the right time yet.
Anyway, I am excited about the fact that Company B has allowed me to reapply, this time for another position within the same department. This position, as well as the organization, are exactly what I am looking for. In fact, it’s my dream job! If I do get this, I’d be super thrilled because of the fact that I would love what I would be doing plus, I’d be paid well too. Now, I know I don’t have the job yet. There are other applicants that they have to consider as well. But I’m truly hoping that God will bless me with this. The second chance should mean something, right?
Wish me luck!
