If you’ve been reading my planner-related posts recently, you’d know that I had just gotten back into decorating my planners this past July. Since then I’ve joined a few planner groups on Facebook (yes, they exist!) and have discovered so many new and exciting things about the planner world.

One of the things I discovered was the “planner party”. Yes, there is such a thing! Normally, planner girls like myself like to meet up with each other, bring their planners and just spend some time together prettifying their planners. But the planner party is a bigger version of that and I was fortunate enough to join one for the first time ever last October 27 at Lasting Impression in San Juan.

As soon as the sign up sheet was released by the organizers, Planner Community Philippines (PCPH), I immediately registered because I was so excited to meet planner addicts like myself. Since I’m sort of a newbie to “creative planning” again, I knew it was my chance to learn more about the planner world.

Plus, I was so excited to meet in person the planner addicts I’ve been stalking on IG, such as the organizers themselves, Liona Chinky (@lionachinky), Dandee (@crafteedandee), Jujet (@iamjujet) and Summer (@PlannersandJournals), as well as Cynthia (@loveCynthia), who came all the way from Paris. And okay, I have to admit this – I was also excited about the freebies. So sue me! What planner addict like myself wouldn’t love to receive a bunch of planner goodies, right?

Anyway, the weeks couldn’t fly by fast enough. I went to Lasting Impression (which is a haven for planning and crafting addicts, by the way) and was greeted with these on the tables.

Ahhhh! I was so happy I couldn’t wait to see all the goodies in the snag bag. Plus, just look at that purple paper trimmer. I love purple and I have been wanting to buy a paper trimmer too. So, it was just perfect!!! Actually, everything in the PCPH snag bag was great. I’ll show the contents down below. But first let me tell you what happened during the event.

There were about 30+ planner girls like myself who attended. It started with a “getting to know you” activity wherein we were asked to introduce ourselves by stating our names along with an adjective to describe ourselves that begins with the first letter of our names. If I remember correctly, I said I was “Joyful Janice”. Haha!

Anyway, there were games too such as Pinoy Henyo plus a sort of “bring me” game wherein I won this Stabilo set. Raffle prizes were given away too all throughout the afternoon. I won this blue mini Filofax notebook. The others won other planner goodies too.

One of my favorite parts of the event was the Plan with Me session with Liona Chinky. I stalk her on IG and just love how she decorates her planners. They’re always very pretty and it was amazing to actually see her decorating live.

This was her finished product. So cute, right? Friends of mine comment on how much they love how I decorate my planner but mine doesn’t even compare to this one. She is just so creative!

Another part that I loved was the puncher party. The organizers brought all sorts of punchers that we could borrow that afternoon. I only own one decorative puncher at the moment (yeah, pathetic!) so I was so thrilled to borrow as much punchers as I could.

It was also such a pleasure to hear Cynthia Renard talk to us and share her story about how she started her business. My gosh, I was starstruck. I am in love with her IG feed. It’s just so beautiful! Too bad I wasn’t able to take a clear photo of her though. But you should know that she sells her illustrations as well as clear stamps, washi and other stuff on her online store.ย You guys should check it out. She’s actually the guest designer of the Planners and Journals October Planner Kit, which I featured last month. That girl is so talented, I swear!

Anyway, what’s a party without food, right?

Summer of Planners and Journals prepared these yummy French-inspired goodies. I didn’t even know she was a chef!

Celene of Happy Ever After Sweets also prepared these yummy mini cupcakes. They’re so cute!

PCPHPlannerParty2015_1

But…. just take a look at what Celene gave us just when we were all about to go home – – – planner-themed sugar cookies! They were so pretty I honestly didn’t want to eat them. It took days before I finally took the plunge and actually loved them. Haha!

ย The last part of the event though was the traditional planner stack. All planner parties have them and here’s the one we had. Can you spot both my pink Shutterdori and bone Macata? So many kinds of planners in one stack. I love it!

PCPHPlannerParty2015_4

Of course, we couldn’t go home without a group photo too. See? I’m not the only planner addict in the world. There’s lots and lots of us! I am so looking forward to getting to know more of these girls.

Anyway, I promised you a sneak peek of what was inside the snag bag. So, here it is. Planner goodies galore!

I took more photos of those items inside the envelopes so that you can see what’s inside. Below are the super cute planner stickers from Kraftrina, Keena Prints and Crafts Delight.

Here are the stuff I got from ListLab. Don’t you just love the donut paper clip?

PCPHPlannerParty2015_12

Below are the stuff from Craftee Dandee. Dandee turned out to be a former office mate of my hubby. Small world! I was really super happy to receive these goodies from her, especially the washi tapes (one is purple!). #washiaddict

PCPHPlannerParty2015_11

That’s it! I was really, really happy that I was able to join this planner party. I want to thank all the organizers for preparing everything and making my first planner party experience a memorable one. Special thanks go to all the sponsors as well, some of whom were also at the party. The PCPH snag bag is now a permanent fixture on my workstation at home. Yay!

I can’t wait for the next planner party!!! Join us!

  19. OMG! I remember my childhood days because of this post! I used to collect stickers, sticky notes, notepads and stationeries when I was in grade school. Nag-level up when I was in high school and college, nagplanner na din ako and spent my time prettifying it. Nawalan lang ako ng time when I graduated college and got busy at work. Di ko na nalagyan ng designs yun mga planners ko since then. Pero lately I’ve been checking Keena Prints in IG and nainspire ako to do this thing again. Nakakarelax din kasi siya noh? Kaso pala, kapag ganyan ka-cute I must admit, ayoko siyang sulatan. Hahaha! Thanks for this blog post. Nakaka-good vibes!
