I have finally uploaded another YouTube video, this time showing you a planner flip through of my Homeschool Planner.

In the video, I share how I came up with the idea of setting up a homeschool planner using a travelers notebook, specifically a pocket size Foxy Fix Wanderlust in Licorice. You’ll see the different inserts I decided to use in order to plan the lessons that I teach my son each week, as well as other inserts that I use to record important information.

As I’ve said in the video, I do not know of any homeschooling parents who organize their homeschool lesson plans using a travelers notebook. I’ve searched on YouTube and most of the ones I found were homeschool planners that are bigger and look more like regular notebooks. Given that this is only our third year in homeschooling (second year in a formal homeschooling structure), I am not yet sure if my planner set-up will work well for me for the rest of year. I certainly hope so. But if not, I’ll tweak it until I get it right.

If you’re also a homeschool mom (or dad!) like me and you have your own homeschool planner, please do share your set-up with me. I’d love to see it so that I can get more ideas on how to improve mine.

For now, here’s the video. I hope you enjoy watching it!

If you like the video, please do give it a thumbs up and click SUBSCRIBE if you wish to be updated with my future videos. Thanks!

  1. I like the way you reuse or recycle the travelers notebook into a homeschool planner. I like that kind of a resourceful attitude of a person just like you.

  3. Honestly, this is the first time that I’ve seen a small homeschool planner but I don’t see anything wrong with your planner. As long as it serves its purpose there is no problem with that. Most of the homeschool planner that I’ve seen on Pinterest kasing laki ng book. 🙂

  4. I like the idea of portable and handy homeschooling planner so that you can plan on the go. Great use of upcycling

  5. I admire your creativity and patience. I find it really time consuming to beautify their planners. And I like the idea of a homeschool planner. Creates an impression that you really take homeschooling seriously. Seeing your dedication to your little student is something worthy to be recognized and applauded.

  6. Wow so nice sis! Good job. I will be back to crafting real soon. Planning to post tutorials too. Crafting kasi is a way to destress. I just wish I have more free time.

  7. I’m jealous! I havent used TN’s before and Ive been eyeing leather stuff from foxyfix in IG! Gusto ko rin gumawa ng flipthrough but I suck at making videos. LOL.

My last year’s homeschool planner was the teacher edition of Happy planner, but this year I’ve decided to use a binder with printables so I can add pages whenever I want to and compile their worksheets together with my planner.

Your mini homeschool planner looks super cute though 🙂

  8. I love the planner! Very handy. I like your dashboards inserts. I am planning to homeschool my son too and I love that I could get planning inspiration here. Keep it up!

  10. […] I used my DIY planner using my travelers notebook, a pocket size Foxy Fix Wanderlust in Licorice. I had filmed a flip through video on it during the beginning of the school year and promised I would film another one at the end of the year as sort of a recap on how I used it […]
